Titanium Omega Seamaster 007 James Bond Special Edition Review

The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M model is produced by the leading Super Clone manufacturer workshops with a 5th class titanium case, 42 mm diameter and a high precision automatic Super Clone movement architecture. Titanium Omega Seamaster 007 James Bond Special Edition Review

An Omega watch has been seen on the wrist of the James Bond character since the 1995 movie "007 Goldeneye". We've covered many James Bond watches over the years on our humble watch blog.

Even though this Special Edition 007 Titanium Watch is made of a lightweight material, it is not an “ordinary watch” to be taken lightly. James Bond Seamaster watches have evolved into some pretty remarkable timekeepers over the last 25 years.

The 42 mm titanium case and lugs have a brushed finish such as the titanium crown and aluminum bezel. The case has a helium release valve at 10 o'clock for divers using a diving bell.

The dial is covered with a domed sapphire glass and features embossed hour markers filled with vintage-toned lume material for excellent visibility in low light conditions.

A vintage colored seconds scale is printed around the dial, and the skeletal hour and minute hands are filled with lume material.

There are two models in this series. Both are special edition watches. The reference number of the one with titanium mesh bracelet is 210.90.42.20.01.001.

The reference number of the other model that comes with a striped fabric NATO strap is 210.92.42.20.01.001.

On the case back, you'll see special engravings and inscriptions that include gun-toting 007 emblems and an upward arrow that can also be found at 6 o'clock on the matte tropical brown aluminum dial. One of the nice things about this case back is that it has the NAIAD locking system, which aligns the case back and the engravings in a clockwise direction.

Although both watches have a fully closed case back that hides the movement, the caliber inside the case is worth a look; It has a self-winding rotor and visible bridges crafted with a special arabesque wave design.

Both models are powered by the in-house Omega Co-Axial caliber 8806 with 35 jewels, which has a vibration rate of 25,200 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. It has Co-Axial escapement and Si14 silicon mainspring.

There are other features that make this mechanical self-winding movement unique. Omega 8806 movement has been certified by two different independent laboratories in Switzerland. It has both the COSC certified chronometer title and the METAS certified Master chronometer pedigree.

The latter certification is issued by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology after the caliber has already met COSC standards, making it arguably one of the most robust movements one could ask for. Moreover, all this is within a very affordable price range.

The mechanism is being tested by METAS on many aspects, from its resistance to electromagnetic waves up to 15,000 gauss to its expected and advertised water resistance. It is also tested in 6 different positions to ensure optimal accuracy and precision of 0/+5 seconds per day in real-life conditions.

More importantly, this watch offers the same reliability and accuracy that James Bond must rely on in his daily top-secret operations.
