The Jaeger-LeCoultre Wristwatch model is produced by the leading Super Clone manufacturer workshops with an 18K thick gold-plated case, 40 mm diameter and a high-precision automatic Super Clone mechanism architecture. Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Calendar 40 mm Review

It would be misleading to call this watch simple, because in reality it is not that simple at all. It just looks like it's not too complicated. Let's start our review with the part that everyone will look at the most.

dial

The dial of this watch has a simple appearance, consisting of a combination of applique numerals and applique index hour markers highlighted with a lume dot. There is a finely printed minute track and calendar days along the flange of the dial. There is a moon phase window at 6 o'clock and a blued steel small seconds hand with an integrated small seconds dial surrounded by a finely printed seconds ticker.

CASE

The 40 mm case is 10.95 mm thick. Polished workmanship on the beveled top surface, lugs and chamfered case back; There is brushed workmanship on the smoothly curved side surfaces of the case and the sides of the lugs. The case is water resistant up to 50m/165ft.

Back of the Case

The clear sapphire case back showcases the beautifully crafted self-winding, fully mechanical movement, featuring a rose gold self-winding rotor partially skeletonized with Jaeger LeCoultre's perfectly symmetrical 'JL' emblem. The movement is decorated with Côtes de Genève (Geneva stripes) and Perlage (an overlapping circular radial brushed pattern). There are gold-filled engravings indicating the thirty-four stones used in the movement, the Jaeger LeCoultre logo and other markings.

Some of the blued steel screws and pink watch stones are visible through the sapphire case back. There are other decorations on the case itself: the collection's name 'MASTER CONTROL', the model number, the JLC logo, the Swiss Made inscription, the waterproof rating and finally the 'JLC 1000 Hours Control' seal, indicating arguably one of the most rigorous tests in the industry.

Calendar Features

The calendar features two windows just below the JLC branding at position 12. Two windows stand side by side; the one on the left shows the day of the week, the one on the right shows the name of the month.

A central red-tipped calendar hand marks the day of the month and has a unique function. When the date hour hand reaches the 15th, just before the start of the moon phase window between the 4th and 5th position, the hour hand jumps over the moon phase and moves to the 16th between the 7th and 8th position; so it doesn't obstruct the moon phase and small seconds dial. Between the digits of the 15th and the 16th appears the French phrase "Quantième à Date Sautante", meaning 'calendar with a skip date'... quite an apt expression.

This model has a silver dial with a stepped dial flange with calendar date numerals and indices. The applique index hour markers have chamfered and polished workmanship; The same workmanship is also found in the Arabic style numerals used at the 12, 3 and 9 positions.

Calendar Usage

On the right side of the case, you'll find two recessed buttons at approximately positions 2 and 4. There is another recessed button on the left side of the case, at position 8. These buttons operate the calendar and moon phase functions. The watch comes with a special tool that can be used to make these adjustments to the calendar and moon phase complications.

The JLC Master Control Calendar 40 mm is powered by the in-house JLC caliber 866AA, which beats at 28,800 beats per hour. A 4Hz watch containing 34 jewels, with an impressive power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The mechanism allows hour, minute, small seconds and day-date display. These functions are adjusted using the crown and the recessed buttons on the sides of the case.

STRAP

This watch comes on a tan calfskin strap with light brown stitching and is fastened with a stainless steel folding buckle. The buckle has an embossed logo and polished workmanship. The sides of the strap are in a dark brown color, while the back is made of a light beige leather that is soft to the touch for comfortable use.
