Let's get back to the topic. Many factories have produced the Tattoo model in the last two years; I won't name names so as not to offend anyone, but I've never recommended any of them so far. The reason was either the material was not correct or the workmanship was rough. Now, let's talk nicely about this extremely powerful Tattoo model, which I think almost no one will be able to surpass in a year or two. This is the most important part; I specifically emphasized this above. Tattoo is a titanium wristwatch. Considering its huge dimensions of 45 x 15.8 mm and its extremely complex design, it would probably be very difficult to support the weight if it were made of stainless steel. That's why Hublot chose titanium, which is very light but extremely difficult to machine. All previous factories had switched to stainless steel due to the high difficulty of forging on the case. Weight: I asked a good friend to measure the weight of the original Tattoo, and it came out to be 137.7 grams. The weighing result of the replica is 139.3 grams. Case form and tattoo details: We can say that this is the soul of the Tattoo model. When we look at the entire case form, there are traces of the original mold everywhere, so there is almost no difference; I recommend that you examine it yourself. The next important point is the two forged engravings on the upper and lower part of the middle case. You may be tempted to examine the dial surface out of habit, but the truth is that the grooves and pits of these two tattoos are the most eye-catching part of this watch. I said that titanium is very difficult to machine; Even in the stainless steel versions produced by other previous factories, this area was not processed very well, and the burrs were visible to the naked eye. This time, the Tattoo details made of real titanium really made me jump. Let's look carefully under the macro lens: the edge processing is very smooth, the sandblasting in the grooves and pits is clear. You still feel a light texture when you touch it with your hand, but I would like to say that the original does not go further than this; because it is titanium, which has an incredibly high hardness! I really couldn't find anything to criticize here, it's a really good job. In addition, the line directions and texture of the tattoo are exactly the same as the original, there is nothing to criticize. The most important point is that the grooves of both tattoos are very deep; The entire case instantly acquires an extraordinary sense of depth and the essence of the "tattoo" is fully reflected!

Strap, Buckle and Comfort

Bezel: The design of Tattoo and Royal Oak are very close to each other, they both have a sandwich design; A thick rubber gasket is sandwiched between the bezel and the middle case, and at this point it is exactly the same as the original. The bezel is in a round form placed inside a hexagon; A polished and brushed finish has been applied simultaneously, and the two are separated by a very distinct waistline. I would like to specifically mention these 6 titanium H type screws. Screws in this form are used in almost every Hublot model and have become the iconic design of the brand. Each screw is again produced with two different workmanship: its edges are mirror polished to increase brightness, and the middle is sandblasted to emphasize hardness. The factory did not skimp on this detail at all, it really deserves great applause. But do you think this is the main point I'm going to tell you? No. What I really want to emphasize is the fit of the screws and the holes. We can see almost no gaps; This shows how high the processing precision is.

Let's leave aside not polishing and brushing at the same time for now, but aren't the screws and holes a bit out of sync? Let me tell you why: their screws are just decorative, they have no real function. This model I described truly reflects the structure of the original; So the screw and the hole must be really good friends.

When we turn the watch on its side, it looks like what I just called the sandwich structure is completely wrong. What's a sandwich? This is literally a giant hamburger! Even just the middle case is divided into two layers; A black-coated titanium layer is sandwiched between the case back and the upper middle case. The two belt screws are also high gloss H type screws. High-gloss mirror polish has been applied to the case back and the edges and side surfaces of the upper middle case. The chamfers are very noticeable, and the gloss is high enough that you can use it directly as a mirror.

Crown: This is also a very important area. First of all, this is the first model in the industry that truly replicates the crown design of the original; In other words, a screw-down crown was used to increase water resistance. However, I would like to give a friendly warning here: do not immerse it in water as much as possible, especially watches with leather straps, as they do not have a screw-down case back design. No matter what model or brand, whether original or replica, it is not very polite to put a watch in water. But in everyday situations such as washing hands, there is no problem, you do not need to worry at all; What I mean here is water, such as bathing or swimming.

In this model, sapphire glass is used on both the front and back (this is the cheapest part, do not keep questioning it anymore, it is not really worth it). The front sapphire glass has a very light blue anti-reflective coating to reduce reflections and increase transparency. The hour and minute hands seem really complicated at first glance, you don't know how to read the time at all. I have prepared a function diagram for you, let's look at it first:

The hour and minute hands design, however, comes from da Vinci's famous drawing; The 8-pointed star is in geometric form and consists of three parts: the outermost hour hand, then the minute hand, and the second hand in the middle. These three huge hands are also produced with a large mirror polish. Let's look at it with a macro lens: the edge and surface treatment is very smooth, burr-free, and the brightness is very high. There is a lume coating on the ends of the hour and minute hands so you can read the time in the dark. There is a 12-hour time scale on the outermost edge of the dial surface, and a 60-second scale on the lower layer. Here we again caught a very small detail in this 60-second scale ring: whether it is a black or blue dial, a CD pattern with a circular orbit is engraved. It is obvious from here how meticulously they work, it is a team that takes their job seriously. Additionally, the logo hangs above the glass; probably because there was nowhere else to put it.

[Case back and mechanism]

Let's turn the clock to its back. The first thing that catches the eye is the large geometric forms. The master is the master, design is truly everywhere. The rotor, in geometric form created with huge triangles and lines, covers almost the entire rear transparent glass. This has an advantage: the movement of this watch consists of a commonly used Japanese-made movement and bridges, and since the rotor covers most of the bridges, it becomes difficult to distinguish them carefully. But the factory did not neglect bridge workmanship due to this innate design advantage; In the image, we can clearly see the real and three-dimensional winding gear, mainspring box, skeleton main sinker and balance wheel in the same position as the original. Honestly, the first time I held this winding gear in my hand I thought it could actually be turned, because it's truly three-dimensional and has a real presence, not just drawn on. Let me say it once again: a team that really takes its job seriously.

Information such as the brand logo, limited edition mark and serial number are engraved on the circular frame of the case back; Scraping depth is medium-upper level, no problem. "TITANIUM", the English equivalent of titanium, and the brand's H-type logo are engraved on the strap attachment point; Even the smallest details were not overlooked.

The strap and buckle section is also one of the important points of this article. The first model in the industry to truly faithfully reflect the "triple" quick-release system of the original; namely three separate quick release features: strap quick release, buckle quick release and spring bar quick release.

Belt quick removal is very common, other previous factories were also able to do it. But the buckle quick release is truly a first; We can quickly remove the buckle by pressing the button behind the buckle. You can quickly remove the spring bar when you press down the H type screw in the spring bar section at the back of the belt. I would like to emphasize two points here: first, whether the strap or the buckle quick release, it is very comfortable to use, it is not difficult at all; Secondly, even the tiny screw in the spring bar quick release system is made as H type!

The strap is a combination of rubber and calfskin. Master Maxime's design is also embroidered on the calfskin surface. Let's turn it to the top here and look at the sketch; You will see that the strap pattern is completely integrated with the case and complements each other. But that's not the point; The most important thing is that this belt is soooooo soft. It's a really very friendly design for people with thin wrists like us. Thus, the leather strap fits the wrist at the highest level and does not lift up anymore. The word "SANGBLEU" has been added to the rubber part.
