Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM616 VS Factory Review
The Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM616 model is produced by VS Factory with a carbon fiber and Carbotech case, standard case diameter and Super Clone P.9000 movement architecture. It is among the most successful 1:1 super clone watch reviews on the market, with its sapphire crystal AR coating glass, original case tolerances and detailed workmanship.
In our market, the replica PAM 616 was released by the KW factory two years ago. This watch that I will review today is the V2 edition, which the VS factory released a few days ago; VS factory has made some improvements over its previous version. The biggest update on this latest PAM 616 is in its mechanism: they have correctly placed the balance wheel at the 7:00 position; just like PAM 441 and PAM 438. Like the PAM 1616 I just reviewed, the PAM 616 is made of forged carbon material. The case and bezel look really big, but they are not as heavy as stainless steel or ceramic PAMs. In fact, I would much rather choose a forged carbon Panerai as a diving watch than a Rolex Submariner or an all-stainless steel model; because it gives a much more comfortable feeling of use, especially in deep waters.
Dial and Hand Details
Unlike the PAM 1616, the PAM 616 has a black dial with white dot markers. There is a working small seconds hand on the small dial at the 9:00 position; This little hand works very smoothly, no clicking or bouncing issues. Look at the last photo in the article: the lume light of the dial is quite strong. The bezel pearl, hour markers, and hour and minute hands will emit the same green lume light in a dark environment.
Strap, Buckle and Comfort
This watch uses a signature black rubber strap with the classic Panerai OP logo. As far as I remember, Panerai used three types of straps on their Luminor Submersible models: brown leather straps, green nylon, and this black rubber strap for the PAM 382. While the wide and thick brown leather strap is designed especially for PAM 382 Bronzo, the black rubber strap is an ideal choice for PAM 616. This type of rubber belt is made of natural rubber material imported from Malaysia; soft and highly flexible.
PAM 382 is one of the best-selling Panerai watches. I think PAM 616 is a model sought after by many watch enthusiasts; If it wasn't so, VS factory wouldn't constantly improve it and release the V2 edition.
