Panerai Submersible Bronzo PAM 382, ​​dedicated to maritime history and the vibrant nature of the CuSn8 bronze alloy, which becomes personalized with a patina over time, is one of the boldest models of horology. In this watch, which we disassembled in the laboratory environment of VS Factory; The real bronze alloy quality, the stability of the P.9000 integrated movement and the color accuracy of the olive green dial are examined in all its layers.

1. Real CuSn8 Marine Bronze Case Alloy and Oxidation Naturalness

In the Panerai Luminor Submersible Bronzo PAM 382 model, VS Factory used genuine CuSn8 marine bronze alloy (a combination of copper and tin) instead of brass or yellow metal plating. In this way, as the watch comes into contact with air, moisture and sea water, it develops a unique and natural patina layer.

2. P.9000 Integrated Clone Mechanism and Independent Scorpion Jumping

Viewed through the sapphire case back, the VS Factory P.9000 integrated caliber features an independent hour jumping function. When the crown is pulled to the first position, the hour hand moves back and forth every hour, while the date display instantly jumps back and forth accordingly.

3. Military Matte Khaki Green Dial and Super Luminova Indices

The matte khaki green dial, which fits perfectly with the bronze case, has a military texture with coarse particles. The small seconds subdial and rough stick indices at 9 o'clock are filled with dense Super-LumiNova.

4. Bronze Top Protection Bridge Lock Mechanism

The crescent lock handle, the symbol of Panerai, is milled from solid bronze. When the handle is closed, it compresses the crown towards the internal seals by 0.5 mm, ensuring full water-tight locking.

5. Unidirectional Rotating Bronze Diver Bezel Clicky Feeling

The embossed minute markers on the wide bronze diver's bezel can be grasped easily even with gloves. The 60-click one-way rotation mechanism operates with a solid and clear clicking sound.

6. Titanium Back Cover Insulation and Sapphire Crystal Glass

In order to prevent the bronze from causing allergies on the skin, the back cover frame is made of Grade 5 titanium, just like the original. The sapphire clear glass is locked to the case with internal seals.

The handmade distressed vintage brown leather strap with 26mm lug width completes the bold character of PAM 382 with its rough stitching and solid titanium trapezoidal buckle.

8. Inner Case Insulation and Pressure Test After Disassembly

In the full disassembly test carried out in our workshop, the corrosion channels and screw seals inside the case were examined, and full sealing was confirmed in a 300 meter equivalent hydrostatic pressure chamber.
