Omega De Ville Prestige Power Reserve Co-Axial Review

The Omega Wristwatch model is produced by the leading Super Clone manufacturer workshops with a solid stainless steel case, standard case diameter and high precision automatic Super Clone mechanism architecture. It is among the most successful 1:1 super clone watch reviews on the market, with its sapphire crystal AR coating glass, original case tolerances and detailed workmanship.
We're proud to have written some of the most detailed and honest reviews of many Omega watches over the years; This review will be no different. The De Ville Prestige collection has been around for a while now, and to be completely frank, it takes time to form a solid opinion about a new collection based on experience. There were times when we encountered unexpected results while discovering a new brand or a new series. Let's start reviewing the Omega De Ville Prestige Power Reserve Co-Axial collection without wasting any time.
Omega De Ville Prestige Power Reserve Co-Axial Review
Most of the Omega watches we have covered over the years have been iconic sports models and mainstream collections, such as the numerous Seamaster and Speedmaster models; but there are also many remarkable Omega watches with a classic look. While most of these classic-looking Omega watches are in the Omega De Ville watch family, the rest are in the Constellation family.
Today, we will take a closer look at Omega De Ville Prestige Power Reserve Co-Axial, a new sub-series within the De Ville collection.
To understand how this series came to be, we first need to look at the evolution of the Omega De Ville Automatic collection. For reasons I will never understand, the De Ville was first introduced as part of the Seamaster collection around 1960 (see image at right). It wasn't until 1967, just seven years after its introduction, that Omega decided the De Ville needed its own space.
Once De Ville became an independent collection in its own right, Omega was able to focus its design team on giving De Ville its own distinctive look, independent of the Seamaster collection to which it once belonged. Today you will find several sub-series under the De Ville banner. These are Ladymatic, Hour Vision, Prestige, Trésor, Gents' and Tourbillon collections. The De Ville watch embodies sophistication and elegance and appeals to a younger audience compared to sports watches. No wonder when De Ville declared independence it became the best-selling and most popular Omega watch of that year.
The De Ville Prestige was eventually implemented and featured wristwatches of all sizes, from a tiny 24.4mm model to 39.5mm; However, these were missing a component that has improved many Omega watches in recent years: the Co-Axial escapement. This new escapement, a gear train responsible for gradually relieving the tension of the mainspring, operates with fewer friction points than a conventional escapement and therefore requires less frequent maintenance.
The Omega De Ville Prestige Co-Axial collection includes several small-sized watches with 32.7 mm cases powered by the Omega 2500 caliber. These featured either a round date window at position 6 or a square date window at position 3, depending on the model.
A mid-size version in 36.8 mm is also powered by the same 2500 automatic caliber; However, the dial design is structured slightly differently and has a square date window at position 3.
Although they are in classic sizes, the larger 39.5 mm versions have a similar design to the 36.8 mm models I just mentioned. These borrow some design elements from other watches in the De Ville collection, such as the Hour Vision; You can see the similarities in the dial's circle ring and the use of polished Roman numerals and index hour markers, but on a smaller case and smaller dial.
This new sub-series within the De Ville Prestige collection is one of the newest evolutions that Omega has brought to the De Ville family. This new series features two central hour and minute hands for hours and minutes, and a small running seconds subdial at the 9 position. There is also an extremely useful power reserve indicator at position 6, which will visually indicate that your watch needs to be wound via the crown.
At the time of writing this review, there are only about a dozen models in Omega's De Ville Prestige Power Reserve Co-Axial line; these all have the same 39.5mm case size, but differ in case material, strap color and dial color. At the upper end of the price range, there are also two De Ville Prestige Power Reserve Co-Axial models with diamond bezels and three-diamond index hour markers.
All watches in this series are COSC certified chronometers. This is a prestigious title that certifies the accuracy and precision of a mechanical movement. This means that each caliber is tested and adjusted until it reaches a minimum accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day.
Summary: This is a private collection from the De Ville family and is probably not the kind of Omega watch that everyone wears. These are excellent and accurate watches from a well-known and respected watch brand, offering great features at a competitive price.
Prices in this series vary. Depending on the model, you can find models with list prices ranging from 4,950 to XXX.
