This opening scene dazzlingly presented Chopard's most priceless piece of jewelry. However, the rest of the film also featured many of their prized wristwatches. How they survived the shooting of this movie is a mystery in itself. Rumor has it that Chopard threw a huge party for the premiere of 6 Underground, showcasing many of its quality products. Maybe Ryan Reynolds' time on 6 Underground was there, too?

Which watches were featured in the movie?

Let's start with one of the 6 Underground watches that probably catches your eye most quickly with its vibrant racing yellow dial; Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Racing Colors (reference no 168589-3011). This watch from Chopard's popular Mille Miglia collection got plenty of screen time with a full-screen close-up of its dial. This watch is a COSC certified Chronometer with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. Since it is a Chopard chronograph watch, it has a stopwatch function that is controlled by buttons on either side of the crown. While this is probably the sportiest-looking Chopard watch that 6 Underground has featured, there were actually a few more Chopard watches in this full-contact, explosion-filled Michael Bay movie.

Another 6 Underground watch that the hero wears on his wrist is the sporty-looking model featured in this film: the extremely stylish black ops-look Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio Speciale (reference no 168566-3007). This watch was seen in many scenes where covert missions required a stealth view. Ryan Reynolds' watch in 6 Underground features a gray coated case with a matching gray dial. The film, full of double shots and these explosions, seems to complement each other. In terms of our love for the art of watchmaking, I'm honestly glad they didn't smash these precious watches to pieces like they smashed everything else in the movie. It's nice that some movies show some respect for the dignity of this craft and give a luxury watch the recognition it deserves.
