Prior to the MKS, the Mark XVIII carried the Seagull 2892 movement; The original movement was developed based on the ETA 2892, so before the MKS update, the adjustment method was the same as the original. After the MKS update, the movement was changed to Citizen 9015. Many of my friends talked to me about this issue many times and said that they could not really understand why the switch to the 9015 movement was made. In fact, after switching to the 9015 movement, the adjustment method of this Mark 18 becomes the opposite of the original; However, it should be known that previously the failure/repair rate of this Mark 18 was quite high. As I mentioned in previous reviews, the 2892 was one of those "gentle" movements and in daily use, there were frequent minor problems and situations such as the watch stopping on its own. That's why MK changed the mechanism this time, keeping stability and durability in mind.

Strap, Buckle and Comfort

The grip of the calfskin strap is much better than the strap of the Portugieser 7; It is softer and much superior in terms of comfort.

Objectively speaking, the price of this product is not very high; It can be considered one of the entry-level models of the IWC brand. Its official positioning is as a business-oriented watch suitable for suits. Considering its appearance, it is simple but flashy; Not many luxury elements have been added, so it is positioned as entry level. If you attach importance to such simple and stylish products and do not have very high expectations regarding appearance, you can choose them with peace of mind.
